“Southern Gospel Music was instilled in me as a child,” explains Baritone singer Caleb Matheny.  “I was born into a Christian family that went to church every time the doors were open. We sang as a family here and there in local churches, as well as at home.  I learned about Jesus and what He did for me.  So in return, I wanted to give something back to Him.  I have always loved gospel music, but it took on a special meaning at age eleven, when I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior.”

“I was in my early teens when I started private piano lessons, under the direction of Mrs. Gloria Lowe, not realizing that those lessons would change my life and establish my love for music forever.”

“I started playing piano for a local group called The Landmark Quartet in my early teens.  Through that experience, I learned about the Alabama School of Gospel Music, where I attended for two years in a row.  Later, I attended the Texas Southern Gospel School of Music, and took piano lessons from the Great Ellen Marsh, who introduced me to Gerald Williams and The Melody Boys Quartet. The rest is history…”
