Lead singer Terry Robertson
hales from Bryant, Arkansas. At 51 years of age, Terry has a rich background
in church music leadership, and traveled for many years singing with local
quartets before joining The Melody Boys Quartet in December 2006. Terry’s
musical travels have taken him to many places, not the least of which was the
Grand Ole Opry stage, where he was privileged to perform not once, but twice!
His love for Southern Gospel music extends over his entire lifetime, and is
evident in his rich vocal deliveries in true Melody Boys style.
Terry has been married for 31
years to his high school sweetheart B.I., who is no stranger to Southern Gospel
Music herself. For several years, B.I. traveled the Southern Gospel circuit as
assistant to Industry legend, Sue Dodge.
Terry and B.I. are the proud
parents of two daughters, Staci Erin Robertson Huber and Anna Brooke Robertson,
and beaming grandparents to Haley Brooke Huber. The Robertson’s are longtime
members of the First Baptist Church in Benton, AR, where Terry is an ordained
deacon, and both are active members of the worship choir.
Terry’s favorite pastimes are
collecting old gospel albums and traveling with B.I. And, of course, they both
enjoy spending as much time as possible with granddaughter Haley.
About becoming a Melody Boy, Terry says, “I count
it a tremendous blessing and privilege to now be a part of the rich history of
The Melody Boys Quartet.”
